Alberta Wildlife Federation Programs

The Alberta Wildlife Federation is excited to offer several new program initiatives.

We’re on a mission to promote the conservation and utilization of fish and wildlife and to protect and enhance the habitat they depend upon through education and advocacy programs. Whether you’re a nature enthusiast, a skilled chef, a handy custodian or an expert in outdoor pursuits, there’s a place for you on our dynamic team.

The Women’s Wilderness Weekend series is a quarterly event that invites women from across Alberta to participate in activities that develop their outdoor skills and competencies. Education and informative sessions focused on hunting, fishing, survival, and outdoor recreational activities are offered over the course of a weekend.

Interested in becoming a certified wildlife measurer? The Alberta Wildlife Federation offers a measuring course to certify members as official measurers. This certification is required to submit an entry for our provincial wildlife awards and is designed for anyone who wants to learn more about this important aspect of our province’s hunting heritage.

Our youth day camps will be offered in the Edmonton area this summer and will run through the months of July and August. Please stay tuned for more information about the specific dates and locations of our youth summer day camps.

Stay tuned for more exciting program initiatives to be announced in the coming months!

We are always looking for more volunteers to help facilitate these programs.
