2026/2027 Post-Secondary Scholarship Application Now Open

The Alberta Wildlife Federation is proud to support the next generation of conservation leaders through our annual Post-Secondary Scholarship Program.

Each year, AWF awards six $1,000 scholarships to Alberta students pursuing post-secondary studies in environmental sciences, conservation, fish and wildlife management, biology, ecology or related fields.

If you're passionate about protecting Alberta's wildlife and wild places, we encourage you to apply.

Scholarship Details

  • Number of Scholarships: Six (6)

  • Award Value: $1,000 each

  • Deadline to Apply: August 14, 2026

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a resident of Alberta.

  • Be under the age of 25 as of January 1, 2027.

  • Be enrolled in a diploma, degree or graduate program in environmental sciences or a related field at an accredited Alberta post-secondary institution.

  • Complete and submit the online application before the deadline.

Preference will be given to Alberta Wildlife Federation members and members of affiliated clubs.

Successful applicants will be notified following the review process.
